Compositae of the Himalaya

Himalayan Compositae has unique diversity. Many of the species are being used for the extraction of volatile oil of different medicinal values. Some of the species are also mentioned in the Ayurveda, the traditional South Asian Medicinal system and even more are being used by the traditional healers as ethnomedicine.
