Fungi and Lichens of Nepal

Mushrooms and lichens are another interesting things to find in the nature. Mushrooms are being eaten in Nepal for centuries and hundreds of people die of eating mushrooms every year. The lack of proper identification of the poisonous species is taking lives of too many people in one hand and in the other hand, people always take wild mushrooms as a scary objects. Similarly, the lichens are being used in the ethnomedicine of Nepal. The lichens are quite significant in indicating the air pollution and the quality of the air can be guessed looking at the growth of these organisms. Nowadays, these lichens are being smuggled into China and other countries. Initially, I started taking photographs just for fun but later I found it interesting. I personally have very little knowledge about these things. So, the comments regarding them are always welcomed so that a correct caption can be written.
